Thanks Be to God

This Thanksgiving has been a very special one and as our family shared what they were Thankful for we all agreed it was that Dad was here with us. I have read several emails in the last 3 weeks about friends and acquaintances where loved ones have recently passed on because of heart related issues. Which increases my thankfulness and gratitude to the Lord for Zach and his love and care of our family, his love of life and how he has so much fun just living life as it comes at him. This year on a whole has not been much fun but God has been abundant in providing for us while Zach has been out of work.

I owe a huge THANK YOU to those who out of their hearts gave gifts to us as the Lord led them. Some were anonymous and we were in awe every time a gift of money or resources was given to us, we even cried over most.

I owe my older children a much need thanks also as they have sacrificed time and resources for the family to help keep it going. I have seen them grow in maturity and responsibility. And grown in their faith also. It truly gives me no greater joy than to see my children walk in truth with their Lord and learn to be self thinkers and learners.

Happy Thanksgiving

Providence House

Here is our house. The house that my husband calls a craftsman on steroids. It is 5000 sq. ft. 4 bedroom 4 bath. It will be only by the Providence of God that it will be finished and He knows when that will be. It truly is the house that God built or is building rather. We have spent about 56000 out of pocket the rest the Lord hath provided. One of the biggest contributers to this fine home is Parr Lumber who supplied 50% of the lumber and when Zach was in the hospital for his heart stuff they donated the siding and Kennedy construction put it on for free!!!!! Anderson Heating and Air conditioning gave us a furnace and Bastian Plumbing has gotten the ruff plumbing done and I believe plans to do the rest. Someone also donated our roofing that is the top of the line no three tab, it is rubberized and will last 50 yrs. Two months after the roof was on which was in Nov. last year, so in Feb. Zach became ill and just has not had the strength and now finances to finish it. Especially since we were hoping to this all out of pocket as the Lord provides by his providence.

Fall has fallen

Last weekend we began to get the garden cleaned up and the rest of the veggies out to prepare for spring. Manuer and compost to be applied before the end of October. Then bring on the seed catalogs. I got a line on some chickens and a new chicken coop and am looking forward to having chickens again hopefully we can keep young Gunner away from them this time. Our last batch of chicks did not survive our new spinger spaniel a year ago.

October 8, 2008

Wow what a year this has been. I forgot I even had a blog going. Zach had open heart surgery on April 15 it has been almost 6 months since then. He is recovering well and we are all finally as a family settling down into our routine and recovered as well from the shock and stress of it all. I am due to have blessing number 10 in February which is the same time I would have had the last one had I not misscarried. Although I would rather have bee having a baby last winter instead of open heart surgery for Zach.
So now we look on to the future and what God might have for our family. At the end of the summer I sold some of my veggies from the garden at the Battle Ground Farmers Market to earn a little extra money and learned about CSA gardens and decided to start one my self with my families help of course. I usually grow a big one anyway and I have had an overwhelming response I am excited to get started. Zach has three houses he is building in Longview and does not know what direction he wants to go with his work but he'll work it out.
I am looking forward to a new year and the strength to get through whatever God has in store for us.

Grand Opening

Yes, I should change our name to Providence Kennels!!!!!!  we have 6 puppies and three dogs. So I decided we are now a working Kennel.   Gunner arrived in May, supposedly Seth's dog but who do you think gets to clean up all the accidents?  Yes, Seth tries but needs ALOT of help. Dec. 14 his Puppies arrived.  Six of them.  Two females and four males two are black and white four are liver and white. They are as cute as can be and my family is having a hard time not keeping one. I am having a hard time sticking to my no.   Then Emry arrived yesterday.  Emry is a black and Tan coon hound that Doug and Andrea adopted while on vaction in Florida and then asked Becca to watch her.  Emry is about 3-4 years old and full of energy but a very good dog.  She is a pretty big dog too.  So you can see why I feel like I am running a kennel around here.  Not to mention my own litter of 10.  Well anyway here are some fun pics to enjoy.

So far so little

I am out in the office working well taking a break from book work. Hi family I know you are the only ones seeing this so far. I feel a little silly. If this is going to get any better I will have to have Siah help me.
